ARE YOU HAPPY AS YOU CAN BE?

Hello! I’m Hugh Wallace Hultman, and I am delighted that you’ve found your way here. I have some wonderful things to share with you.

This site is a celebration of the essential truths that can help us navigate life’s unnecessary hardships. I have lived an adventurous life, full of remarkable moments and insights worth pausing to consider. It feels like a missed opportunity to accumulate a lifetime of wisdom and not share those treasures with others.

There are no hidden agendas here. My motive is simple: to leave a footprint—a record of what I’ve learned—so that it might endure and offer value to others. I believe life is a gift intended for learning, teaching, and experiencing joy. I have spent my years seeking the truths that make for a life well-lived.

A Repository of Wisdom

What you will find here is a sanctuary of knowledge—a vision for posterity rooted in the belief that ethics, virtue, and happiness are the fruits of intentional thinking. This is more than a collection of ideas; it is an act of gratitude for the collective wisdom of history and an expression of love for humanity.

We often hear that the journey is the true gift, not the destination. Consider me your pathfinder. My role is to leave maps that bring peace, security, and a sense of tranquility to unfamiliar terrain.

Tools for Growth

I don’t have all the answers, but I do possess tools that can alter your reality for the better. The insights of Socrates, the inspiration of Plato, and Aristotle’s "Golden Mean"—conceived so long ago—remain deeply relevant in modern psychology.

If an idea serves you, embrace it. If it doesn’t, discard it. Growth should feel liberating—like swimming in a warm Caribbean ocean or resting deeply after a long day's work.

Join the Conversation

There is a significance in our paths crossing. We may view reality through different lenses, but we are alive at this exact moment, breathing the same air, wondering at the same moon, and sharing the same star.

As you navigate this space, my purpose is not to sway you toward any singular philosophy, but to explore these ideas together. Let us interact, chronicle the good, and build a wiser world. If you have something to say, please say it. You are warmly invited to build this space with me.

  • My partner and I were struggling to communicate without things turning into arguments. The approach here was relaxed and supportive, which helped us actually listen to each other. We didn’t just fix one issue — we learned a better way to connect moving forward.

  • I was feeling stuck, overwhelmed,.and disappointed all the time. I tried behavior modification, cognitive therapy, punishment for behavior that was the reaction I had. I'd used up my options. Unsure what my next step should be. The stop thought process began wonderful changes. Read on and work this.
